How It Works

Each run gives you a set number of days. The clock ticks every time you take an action. Managing your time is just as important as managing your money.

  1. Hit the Auction. Browse Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, barn finds, repo lots, and dealer auctions. Every listing has a seller story — and a real story underneath it. Learn to read both.
  2. Run the Diagnostics. Compression test, oil check, scan for codes, inspect the undercarriage. The car's true condition is hidden. Your job is to find out what the seller didn't disclose — before you buy it.
  3. Do the Work. Engine swap, body repair, detail, fluid flush. Each action costs time and money. The math has to work before you pull the trigger.
  4. Negotiate the Deal. Sellers have personalities. Some are desperate. Some are delusional. Some already have a buyer lined up. Learn when to walk away.
  5. Build Your Rep. Reputation unlocks better cars, bigger auctions, faction invitations, and prestige tiers. Every run adds to your all-time leaderboard score.

Hit the top rep tier and go racing. Buy GT3s and LMP2 prototypes, prep them for sanctioned events, and sell to factory programs.

Global Leaderboard

Every completed run posts to the public leaderboard. Best profit, most chaos events survived, highest reputation — all tracked.

The Cars

Shop Day features over 150 fictional car models across every segment — daily beaters, muscle cars, Japanese imports, European sports cars, luxury sedans, barn finds, repo lot specials, and full race machinery. Each listing has its own story written in authentic seller voice: the guy who "just needs it gone," the proud owner who "knows what it's worth," and the estate-sale executor who has no idea what they have.

Legendary cars — rare, high-value finds that only unlock at higher reputation — can make or break a run if you know what you're looking at.

What is a roguelike?
Roguelikes are games with runs — each playthrough starts fresh, has permanent progression, and ends when you hit a goal or run out of resources. In Shop Day, each run is a fixed number of days. When the days are up, your run ends and your results post to the leaderboard.
How does the leaderboard work?
At the end of each run, you can submit your best flip to the global leaderboard. The board tracks profit, run number, chaos events survived, and the specific car you flipped.
What are factions?
Factions are crews you can align with as your reputation grows. Import Mafia, American Muscle, and Euro Scene each offer exclusive cars, contacts, and perks — but aligning with one closes doors with the others.
What is the Race Team prestige tier?
The Race Team is the top prestige tier, unlocked at high reputation with a significant cash buy-in. It lets you purchase professional race cars — GT4s, GT3s, LMP2 prototypes — prep them for sanctioned events, race them for prize money, and sell them to factory programs.
